We provide a custom acetyl-specific antibody production service. Typically such a project is a rabbit polyclonal anti-peptide antibody, which is what is outlined in the below. The acetyl-specific service package includes;

• Design and synthesis of acetylated immunisation peptide (10 mg, high purity) and a non-acetyl control peptide.
• Conjugation of the immunisation peptide to KLH
• Immunisation of two rabbits using a 12 week standard protocol.
• Collection of pre-immune serum and three immune serum samples.
• ELISA testing of first serum sample against the acetyl and non-acetyl peptides.
• Acetyl specific affinity purification using a total of 20 ml of crude serum.

Additional services can be added to this package. Some examples include;

• Antibody aliquotation
• Antibody labelling, such as biotin or FITC.

The projected time line for your custom acetyl-specific polyclonal rabbit antibody project is as follows;

• 5 weeks - Peptide design, production and conjugation
• 6 weeks - First serum sample after primary immunisation
• 3 weeks - Additional serum sample.
• 2 weeks - Acetyl-specific affinity purification.
